Some people regret leaving education early

Its GCSE day today and at this moment there are many students waiting to find out how well they have done and more importantly what they will be doing next, going to work or maybe further education.

But for some people around 36% who left school straight after their GCSE exams wish they could go back and stay in education a little while longer. The main reason given for not staying on is, not liking the way tat they were taught.

According to a survey carried out by the Home Learning College, it was found that 8 out 10 people believed that they needed to have some sort of formal qualification in order to get on in a career. Around 38% believe that life skills are important, while 60% of 16 to 24 year olds actually regretted leaving school after completing their GCSE exams.

It is decision day for many young people, lets hope that they make the right one for themselves!
