Teachers get younger all of the time
Maybe it’s a sign of us getting old, but imagine a teacher who is in a similar age group to the students that she teaches. Alia Sabur is just nineteen and yet she has been given the position of Professor of Maths and Physics at Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea.
But this is no fluke, for she had a flying start to her careers, finishing elementary school by the age of five, she went onto college by the age of ten and was picking up her bachelors of science degree in applied mathematics at 14.
Now at the age of nineteen, she has become the youngest professor in history, as she secured the job just three days before her nineteenth birthday. The record for this was previously held by Colin Maclaurin in 1717, he was in fact a student of the famous Sir Isaac Newton.
