Lollipop ladies get CCTV

Outside virtually every school during the morning and afternoon school rush, there will always be one of those ladies, dressed in a white and yellow coat holding a giant lollipop. The lollipop lady has become one of the features outside many of the UK’s schools and now they are part of the surveillance society.

The lollipop that the ladies has become another extension to the surveillance society that is quickly growing in the country, there are not many places in the entire country where you can go and be free of the CCTV.

The idea behind the lollipop cameras is to catch drivers who fail to stop when the children are trying to cross the road. But is this reliance on hidden cameras and CCTV taking us to place where we will not have any privacy at all?
