Hawking in search of new Einstein
Having spent the majority of his life trying to explain how the universe started, Professor Stephen Hawking has now started a new search, this time it is much closer to earth. For, he is launching a new project to find the African versions of Einstein, Bill Gates, and Sergey Brins and Larry Pages (Google).
This has to be a good idea for there has to be talent in Africa that matches these people and others too, but because of their circumstances no many of them would even have the opportunity to explore the possibilities of science or business.
The project has been given around £75 million in order to open fifteen educational centres where the talent can be nurtured and guided. The UK government has not given any money to this cause. But having said that, the UK does provide up to £1.5 billion to Africa every year, however by looking at it, you have to wonder where the money goes.
