Children should not be taught middle class subjects

How a subject taught at school can be classed as a middle class subject needs a little explaining, according to the man who advises the government on education matters, Prof John White, most surprisingly the subject that are “Middle Class” are English, Maths, History, Geography, Science and Latin or Modern Languages.

Clearly these subjects would have been middle class around 150 years ago, in the modern world there is a need for everyone not to just have a basic level of education, but to excel as far as they can; this will help them achieve a better standard of living.

These plans would reduce the education of the general population to that of working class people in the early Victorian years and would have a detrimental effect on the country as a whole, not to mention the standard of living of the majority of people.
