Pray to Allah or get detention
The Alsager School in Cheshire has found itself at the centre of a human rights case when two boys refused to pray to Allah during a religious education lesson. The children were asked to wear Islamic Headdress and with the prayer mats at the ready they were told to pray to Allah.
The two boys refused to join in, which you would have thought would fair enough, but no the two boys were given detention and the rest of the class had to miss their break. This was a well as some of the other children being told off for not doing it right.
Parents of the children affect are said to be furious at the teachers actions, not only forcing the children who were on average aged around twelve to wear Islamic headdress and prayer to a religion that is not their own.
